On-site Update: Commissioning of a 3,000 BPH Broiler Processing Line in Vietnam Completed

We just wrapped up a 14-day intensive installation at a new poultry plant in Dong Nai, Vietnam. This project features a fully synchronized 3,000 birds per hour (BPH) slaughtering system.

Unlike standard off-the-shelf equipment, this line was specifically engineered to handle the local broiler breeds in Vietnam, which often vary in size compared to temperate breeds. The focus of this commissioning was not just “getting it running,” but fine-tuning the stunning-to-scalding transition to ensure zero bruising—a critical requirement for the client’s premium export contracts.

One of the main challenges we addressed during the site visit was the water quality and humidity levels in the facility.

  • Solution: We integrated a reinforced IP66-rated centralized control system to protect the electronics from the high-pressure washdowns and tropical humidity common in Vietnam.
  • The Scalder Adjustment: We spent two days calibrating the air-agitation system in the scalding tank. For a 3,000 BPH throughput, even a 0.5°C fluctuation can lead to damaged breast skin. We achieved a consistent 0.2°C tolerance across the entire 6-meter tank.

For those looking at industrial butchery equipment for sale, here is the breakdown of what a reliable 3,000 BPH line looks like in 2026:

  • Overhead Conveyor: Heavy-duty stainless steel T-rail with variable frequency drive (VFD).
  • Automatic Stunner: High-frequency water bath for improved meat quality.
  • Dual-Phase Plucking: A combination of vertical and horizontal pluckers to ensure the “wings and neck” area is 100% clean—crucial for the chicken dressing machine standards in Southeast Asia.
  • Screw Chilling System: A dual-stage 9-meter screw chiller to bring core temperatures down to $4^{\circ}C$ within the shortest possible timeframe.

The client in Vietnam specifically sought a supplier who could bridge the gap between “cheap manual tools” and “overpriced European systems.” By shipping directly from Qingdao, we provided a European-standard layout at a much more competitive ROI. Our ability to provide a complete industrial slaughtering line—including the evisceration and pre-cooling sections—means the client only had one point of contact for the entire engineering flow.
